The beauty of blockchain is transparency. You don't have to trust us — you can verify everything yourself. Here's how.
What Is Solscan?
Solscan is a block explorer for Solana — think of it as a search engine for the blockchain. Every transaction, every wallet balance, every token transfer is publicly visible.
Step-by-Step: Verify a Wallet Balance
- Go to solscan.io
- Paste the wallet address (from Clue A) into the search bar
- You'll see the wallet's full balance, including SOL, USDC, and all other tokens
- Click on "Tokens" tab to see the exact USDC amount
- The prize is real and verifiable ✅
Step-by-Step: Verify a Transaction
- Get a transaction signature (a long string of characters)
- Paste it into Solscan search
- You'll see: sender, receiver, amount, timestamp, fee, and status
- Click "View in Explorer" for raw details
What Each Field Means
- Signature: Unique ID for the transaction (like a receipt number)
- Block: Which block the transaction was included in
- From/To: Wallet addresses involved
- Amount: How much was transferred
- Fee: Transaction cost (usually ~$0.001 on Solana)
- Status: Confirmed, Failed, or Pending
Pro Tips
- Bookmark Solscan — you'll use it a lot
- Use the "Portfolio" tab to track any wallet's holdings over time
- The "Transfers" tab shows all recent activity
- Check "Token Transfers" specifically for USDC movements
Don't trust, verify. That's the whole point of blockchain.
