Phantom is the most popular Solana wallet, and it's what we recommend for participating in Nobunaga hunts. Here's everything you need to know.

What Is Phantom?

Phantom is a non-custodial crypto wallet — meaning you hold your own keys. It's available as a browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge) and mobile app (iOS, Android). It supports Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, and Bitcoin.

Setup in 2 Minutes

  1. Go to phantom.app and install the extension
  2. Click "Create a new wallet"
  3. Write down your seed phrase on paper (12 words). Never screenshot it. Never share it.
  4. Set a password for daily use
  5. Done — your wallet is ready to receive and send SOL/USDC

Importing a Private Key (For Treasure Hunts)

This is the key skill for Nobunaga hunts:

  1. Click the Phantom icon → Profile icon (top right)
  2. Select "Add/Connect Wallet"
  3. Choose "Import Private Key"
  4. Paste the private key you found
  5. The wallet with the prize will appear in your wallet list
  6. Send the USDC to your main wallet — it's yours!

Security Tips

  • 🔒 Never share your seed phrase — not with us, not with "support," not with anyone
  • 🔒 Use a hardware wallet (Ledger) for storing large amounts
  • 🔒 Verify URLs — fake Phantom sites exist. Always check the domain
  • 🔒 Enable transaction preview in settings — it shows what you're signing
  • 🔒 Revoke unused approvals regularly at solscan.io
The #1 rule in crypto: if someone asks for your seed phrase, it's a scam. No exceptions.
