Phantom is the most popular Solana wallet, and it's what we recommend for participating in Nobunaga hunts. Here's everything you need to know.
What Is Phantom?
Phantom is a non-custodial crypto wallet — meaning you hold your own keys. It's available as a browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge) and mobile app (iOS, Android). It supports Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, and Bitcoin.
Setup in 2 Minutes
- Go to phantom.app and install the extension
- Click "Create a new wallet"
- Write down your seed phrase on paper (12 words). Never screenshot it. Never share it.
- Set a password for daily use
- Done — your wallet is ready to receive and send SOL/USDC
Importing a Private Key (For Treasure Hunts)
This is the key skill for Nobunaga hunts:
- Click the Phantom icon → Profile icon (top right)
- Select "Add/Connect Wallet"
- Choose "Import Private Key"
- Paste the private key you found
- The wallet with the prize will appear in your wallet list
- Send the USDC to your main wallet — it's yours!
Security Tips
- 🔒 Never share your seed phrase — not with us, not with "support," not with anyone
- 🔒 Use a hardware wallet (Ledger) for storing large amounts
- 🔒 Verify URLs — fake Phantom sites exist. Always check the domain
- 🔒 Enable transaction preview in settings — it shows what you're signing
- 🔒 Revoke unused approvals regularly at solscan.io
The #1 rule in crypto: if someone asks for your seed phrase, it's a scam. No exceptions.
